Golden retrievers entering our breeding program have necessary health clearances -- hip, elbows, eyes and heart -- to help prevent conditions that are crippling our breed as well as having the correct GOLDEN temperament -- which is a friendly disposition with neither fear nor aggression. We breed towards the Golden Retriever Standard and will only breed dogs that will add something to the breed.

Puppies spend their first two weeks eating, sleeping and receiving early neurological stimulation – based on a program originally designed by the U.S. Military. These exercises will help improve cardio vascular performance, stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease.  Classical music plays often in the background.

At three weeks, puppies begin being exposed to the “normal” sounds of a household – vacuum, TV, etc – as well as other sights, sounds, textures and obstacles they may encounter in future training.

When the puppies are about three weeks old, we also send you a Puppy Packet of information on training, the golden retriever’s history as well as health and pedigree information on the sire and dam. This information helps YOU prepare for puppy coming home as finding time to read after the puppy’s arrival can be a bit difficult. Take this time to read this information, ask questions and prepare your home and life for the puppy’s arrival.

Before leaving us at eight weeks, puppies will be evaluated for structure and temperament and will receive the first of their puppy shots, microchipped and receive a vet check. Puppies are placed with families based on their structure and temperament from what owners state they are looking for in a puppy.

To hold a puppy for you, we require a $300 deposit. This deposit will be subtracted from the total ($1,000.00)  Puppies are held by reservation only. We commit a great deal of time to help start puppies on the right foot …. err paw.

Deposits are 100% refundable, if:

¨      We feel there is not a puppy in the litter that is best suited for your household (i.e. personality, structure, etc.).

¨      Either the Breeder or the Buyer feels uncomfortable for any reason.

¨      You return the Puppy Packet in reusable condition. If not, we'll deduct $25.
